How Events.com.mt handles your information
Last updated 1 October 2026. This policy covers the website at events.com.mt, the organiser pages at events.mt, and the Events.mt and Events.mt Manager apps.
Who we are
Events.com.mt is run by OmnSoft, Malta. We provide ticketing and guest registration for event organisers. When you buy a ticket or register for an event, the organiser of that event is the one inviting you; we process your details on their behalf and for our own operation of the service.
What we collect
- When you buy a ticket or are registered for an event: your name, email address, and any details the organiser's form asks for, such as your company, position or mobile number. These appear on your ticket and, at the door, on your badge.
- When you open an account: your name, email address and password. Signing in with Apple or Google gives us your name and the email address those services share with us.
- When you pay: payment is handled by the payment provider you choose at checkout. We keep the order and its reference; we never see or store your card number.
- When you use the apps: a device token so we can send you notifications, if you allow them, and the app version and platform. The Manager app records which device scanned each ticket and when.
- When you write to us: your message and how to reach you.
What we use it for
- Issuing your tickets, sending them to you, and admitting you at the door.
- Telling the organiser who is coming, so they can plan and print badges.
- Reminding you about the event shortly before it starts, by email and, if you allowed it, by notification.
- Showing you your tickets and orders in your account and in the app.
- Keeping the service secure and answering your questions.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees it
The organiser of an event sees the details of the people attending it. Our hosting, email and payment providers process data for us under their own agreements. Apple and Google receive what is needed to deliver notifications and, if you use them, wallet passes. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Orders and tickets are kept as records of the event, for as long as the organiser and accounting rules need them. Device tokens are removed when you sign out or when the notification service tells us the device is gone. Contact messages are kept for a year.
Your choices
- You can see your tickets and orders at any time in your account.
- You can switch notifications off in your phone's settings or by signing out of the app.
- You can close your account from inside the app or by writing to us. Orders stay as business records but are no longer linked to an account.
- You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it, at the address below.
Deleting your account and your data
To delete your Events.mt or Events.mt Manager account and the personal data linked to it, write to us through the contact page from the email address of the account and say that you want the account deleted. We confirm by email and remove the account, its sign-in details and its device tokens within 30 days. Orders and tickets already issued stay as the organiser's business records, as accounting rules require, but are no longer linked to an account. Door scans made with the Manager app stay as part of the event's record, without the account.
